Education in Sustainability

We provide presentations on Lake Sustainability and students will learn how sustainable interaction with the environment is being achieved by preventing, limiting, minimizing or correcting environmental damage to water, air and soil, as well as considering ecosystems and problems related to waste, noise, and visual pollution.

Sustainability is a key concept in Geography.  In keeping with our company philosophy, Rotorua Duck Tours in conjunction with Rotorua Education Network offers Geography Level1 students the opportunity of completing the NCEA internal Achievement Standard 91009 “Demonstrate geographic understanding of the sustainable use of an environment” worth 3 credits. Schools who book through Rotorua Education Network are able to access the resources: the student task and worksheet and teacher assessment schedule. The student worksheet can be completed during the Rotorua Duck Tour which will assist students in completing the task in order to gain three NCEA credits
